Sony announced that its next-generation video gaming console, the PlayStation 4, will be released in North America on Nov. 15.
The console, which will sell for $399, will launch in Europe on Nov. 29, the electronics giant announced Tuesday during its presentation at the Gamescom video game trade show in Cologne, Germany.
In all, the PlayStation 4 will launch in 32 markets in November. That's compared to 13 markets that will launch Microsoft's new gaming console, the Xbox One, in the same month. The Xbox One will sell for $499. That console is schedule to launch in November though no exact date has been announced.
