A Pleasant Grove woman with a record of past drug and alcohol offenses was in the Utah County Jail on Wednesday, this time for allegedly driving while under the influence when she struck a boy on a bicycle.

The 55-year-old woman was being held without bail on suspicion of DUI; possession of methamphetamine, marijuana and numerous painkillers and anti-depressants for which she did not have a prescription; and alleged traffic violations.

Police say the woman hit a 10-year-old boy on his bike near 650 West and 1100 North on Monday afternoon after she drifted off the side of the road.

The boy sustained minor injuries for which he was treated at the hospital and then released Tueasday morning.

Utah court records show the woman had misdemeanor DUI convictions in 1990, 1992, 1997 and 2000, as well as arrests for possession of controlled substances within 1,000 feet of school grounds in 1996 and 2009.
