The Twilight Concert Series will feature hip-hop artist Kid Cudi at Pioneer Park on Thursday, August 22.

Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, Kid Cudi moved to New York City following high school. He stayed with his uncle while he continued to work on music, releasing mix-tapes and wholly integrating himself into New York's hip-hop scene. Cudi rose to prominence following the release of his single, "Day 'n' Nite," in 2008. Since then, he has been nominated for three Grammys and won one of the nominations for his collaboration with Rihanna, Kanye West and Fergie entitled All of the Lights. Kid Cudi is currently touring for his new album entitled, Indicud, which was released earlier this year.Also performing on Thursday will be special guest, King Chip. The rapper is an Ohio native known for his chopped and screwed, southern style of hip-hop. His skills were first recognized for his verses and collaborations on several mix-tapes circa 2007. Since then, he began working on his debut album, set to be released later this year. Gates open at 5 p.m. and music starts at 7 p.m. in Pioneer Park, located at 350 West 300 South in downtown Salt Lake City.

Seating is first come, first served. Admission is $5 at the gate.
