Hot, wet and sticky. That's a recipe for Utah weather, not to be confused with the citrisy drink of that name served in a highball glassful of ice cubs.

The Wasatch Front's forecast for Friday, a mirror image of Thursday's climatological predictions, calls for isolated thunderstorms and rain showers in the morning, afternoon and evening. High temperatures, though, will remain in the low- to mid-90s.

It could be worse — you could be in southwestern Utah the next couple days. Not only will Utah's Dixie see the same cycle of storms and precipitation, but it will do so while enduring highs above 100 degrees.

At least the storm activity will keep the air clean. The Utah Division of Air Quality rates the entire state as "Green," or healthy for breathing heading into the weekend.

The Intermountain Allergy & Asthma website also has good news: only chenopods are elevated on its pollen index, coming in at "high."

Salt Lake City's high temperature on Friday was to hit 91, up 2 degrees from Thursday's forecast; Ogden looked for 89 and 91 degrees, respectively; Provo 92 and 93; Logan 89 and 91; Wendover 90 and 91; Duchesne 81s; Cedar City 85 and 88; St. George 100 and 103; and Moab 92 and 93 degrees.
