5 months after body found in L.A., Ogden man's death still a mystery

Five months after his badly decomposed body was found at a recycling dumpsite outside of Los Angeles, police still say the death of Ryan Scott Bush II remains a mystery.

The 20-year-old Ogden man last talked with his mother, Tina Ross, on April 15. On April 28, his remains were discovered in California.

The Los Angeles County Coroner's Office had not determined a cause of death as of Thursday, but investigators in Los Angeles and the Ogden Police Department reportedly believe that they at least know how Bush's body ended up in California.

KUTV 2 News reports that detectives believe Bush died under suspicious circumstances in the Ogden area and was then hidden inside a bin at the Weber County Transfer Station at 867 W. Wilson Lane, in west Ogden. The station ships green and wood refuse to California for recycling.

KUTV said Ross believed that her son had begun hanging out with a bad crowd and was using drugs at the time of his disappearance.

Ogden police did not immediately return a call seeking further details on the case on Thursday.
