Deuel Creek North

Directions • Hiking in Davis County is a great way to beat the Cottonwood or Millcreek Canyon crowds without adding much time to your commute.

This trail is a bit of a challenging hike, more so than the other entrance at Deuel Creek South. It's located in Centerville, just above 100 South and Island View Drive in a residential area. At the gravel road, take the left-hand fork.

The hike begins with pretty steep climb that's exposed to the sun — don't forget the block! After about a half-mile, it drops into the canyon and continues along the creek, criss-crossed by several fun log bridges. There's even a swing that someone set up a while back with a rope and a plastic seat. The trail begins to climb again in about half-mile or so, ending in a pretty waterfall. Be careful on the way back —it's occasionally easy to lose your way, but not too hard to find the trail again.
