A warm and wet weekend is ahead for Utah. Temperatures will be in the low- to upper-90s statewide, punctuated by a series of thunderstorms and rain, occasionally heavy.

Saturday will see the mercury climb to about 90 degrees along the Wasatch Front, with those rain-laden thunder clouds rolling in throughout the day. That forecast is a twin to Friday's predictions for the region from the National Weather Service.

Southern Utahns will see afternoon and evening thunderstorms and showers with temperatures in the mid- to upper-90s both days.

The Utah Division of Air Quality raised its "Green," or healthy breathing banners for the entire state through the weekend.

The Intermountain Allergy & Asthma reported chenopods, at "high," and sage, at "moderate" as the only allergens elevated on its pollen index.

Salt Lake City's high temperature Saturday was pegged at 91, down 2 degrees from Friday's forecast high; Ogden looked for 87 and 89 degrees, respectively; Provo 90s; Logan 87 and 89; Wendover 89 and 90; Duchesne 79s; Cedar City 84s; St. George 98s; and Moab 88 and 90 degrees.
