MLS adds to penalties on Montreal Impact coach

New York • Major League Soccer has suspended Montreal Impact coach Marco Schallibaum an additional game and fined him another $5,000 for repeated misconduct.

Schallibaum was ejected against D.C. United on Aug. 17. That brought an automatic one-game suspension and $500 fine. The latest punishment means he will miss two games and be fined $5,500.

He has been dismissed from three games this season and suspended by MLS for entering the field another time.

MLS Commissioner Don Garber on Friday also rescinded the automatic one-game suspension and fine D.C. United coach Ben Olsen received for his dismissal Aug. 17 in Montreal.

Separately, MLS fined Chicago Fire assistant Leo Percovich an additional $500 for conduct leading to his ejection Aug. 17 against New England.
