On the eve of its six-year anniversary, Earth Goods General Store has relocated to 327 E. Broadway in downtown Salt Lake City.

Locally owned and operated, the store is a one-stop shop for a wide variety of household and personal care products.

Earth Goods' staff selects products meeting one or more eco-friendly criteria: locally-produced, fairly traded, sustainably sourced, recycled, reusable, biodegradable, all natural and organic.

Since its inception in fall 2007, the store has carved a niche in Salt Lake City as a place to refill containers with cleaning supplies and personal care products and as a resource for hard-to-find items.

"We're sad to leave the place where we got our start," says owner, Thom Benedict. "Over the years, we've really become close to our customers and neighbors at 9th East and 13th South. The new store is only minutes away and we hope to introduce even more people to greener living while continuing to serve the community that has been so supportive."

The new store, near the 300 East and 300 South intersection, has free on-street parking along 300 South and is located near several public transit lines. —
