Police were looking for three male suspects who forced their way into west Salt Lake City home, stole property and assaulted a man living there.

The home invasion occurred just before 11 a.m. Monday at a house near 400 South and 1000 West.

The intruders allegedly were looking for a particular family member who owed them money, but that person was not home.

The trio took several items at gunpoint and attacked a 30-year-old male resident, who was transported to the hospital for treatment of a head laceration.

Police as of Tuesday had not released descriptions of the suspects.
