West Valley City police ask public to help find robbery suspects

The West Valley City Police Department wants the public's help finding two men accused of robbing a credit union at gunpoint.

About 5 p.m. Thursday, two men robbed the Cyprus Credit Union at 3578 W. 4700 South, waving handguns at the employees while demanding money, according to a news release. The suspects fled with an undetermined amount of cash. No one was hurt.

One suspect is described as either white or Hispanic and was wearing a dark jacket, khaki pants, tennis shoes and a gray baseball hat that says "Sox," according to the release. The other was also described as either white or Hispanic and was wearing a gray long sleeved shirt, black pants and a white baseball hat.

Both are believed to be between 5-foot-6 and 5-foot-10.

The police are asking anyone with information to call them at 801-840-4000.
