Alliant Techsystems to buy Bushnell Group Holdings in $985 million deal

Alliant Techsystems Inc., the Minnesota-based aerospace company with extensive operations in Utah, said it has signed an agreement to purchase Bushnell Group Holdings Inc. for $985 million in cash.
Bushnell is a designer and distributor of branded sports optics, outdoor accessories and eyewear.
It is projecting sales for calendar 2013 of approximately $600 million. ATK said it will integrate Bushnell into its Sporting Group, which produces sporting and law enforcement ammunition and shooting accessories.
