Boulder, Colo. • University of Colorado backup quarterback Jordan Webb will serve two years of probation for a May fight that left an Air Force Academy cadet unconscious.
The 22-year-old also was ordered Friday to perform 80 hours of community service and get alcohol treatment. Webb had pleaded guilty to third-degree assault last week.
Former Colorado offensive lineman Alex Lewis, who has transferred to Nebraska, also is charged in the fight.
Witnesses told police that Lewis pushed Lee Bussey's head into a brick wall and that both Webb and Lewis pushed the cadet to the ground and punched him.
The Daily Camera reported that Webb told the judge his role "was minimal at best" and said he's never been a violent person.
Lewis faces a felony charge of second-degree assault, but he hasn't entered a plea yet.
