A 65-year-old man was flown to the hospital Saturday afternoon after a buffalo gored him.

The man, who lives on Burmester Road in Tooele County, was gored by a buffalo he owns, injuring his lower abdomen, buttocks and forehead, said Tooele County Sheriff's Sgt. Ron Johnson.

A medical helicopter flew him to University Hospital in Salt Lake City for treatment, Johnson said.

The sergeant was not aware of the man's condition or if his injuries were considered life threatening.
