• The Utah State Fair continues, at the Utah State Fairpark, 1000 W. North Temple, Salt Lake City. Tonight's grandstand entertainment is country-rock band 38 Special, at 7:30 p.m.; tickets are $27, available at the fair website. Gates open 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Tickets are $10, $7 for seniors and kids 6 to 11, free for children 5 and under.

• Power-pop band Saves the Day performs at In the Venue, 219 S. 600 West, Salt Lake City. Opening acts: Into It. Over It., Hostage Calm. Show starts at 7:30. Tickets are $18, at Smith's Tix or 24Tix.

• Indie-rock band Ra Ra Riot performs at The Urban Lounge, 241 S. 500 East, Salt Lake City. Opening act: Caveman. Show starts at 8. Tickets are $18, at 24Tix.
