Water service was restored in southeast Clearfield late Sunday morning after a faulty valve knocked out supplies to several apartment complexes.
The city said the valve was repaired about 11:30 a.m. and water service was restored to the affected apartments, located between 1500 East and 2000 East.
Clearfield officials said while most people were calling the non-emergency line Sunday morning to make sure the city knew they didn't have water, at least four people called 911 to report the outage.
The city found out Saturday night about the break, and crews worked through the night to restore service.
Even though outage was occurred Saturday night, most people didn't notice it until Sunday morning when they woke up and tried to take a shower before church, officials said.
