OK, Sundancers: Today's the day to start registration for passes and ticket passes for the 2014 Sundance Film Festival.

General registration for passes and ticket packages for next year's festival started at noon Mountain Time, on the Sundance website. Registration runs through Oct. 9. Then, registrants will receive their assigned time (chosen by lottery) to go online and buy their passes and packages.

Utah residents get a few offers everybody else doesn't get, as Sundance has some locals-only offers.

Sundance also does free "Townie Tuesday" screenings for Summit County residents on Tuesday, Jan. 21, and there are the "Best of Fest" screenings in Park City, Salt Lake City and Ogden on Monday, Jan. 27, after the festival's over.

The 2014 Sundance Film Festival runs Jan. 16-26 in Park City, and at venues in Salt Lake City, Ogden and the Sundance resort.
