Omaha starter Chris Dwyer took a perfect game into the seventh inning, and the Storm Chasers beat the Durham Bulls 2-1 on Tuesday night in the Triple-A National Championship game in Allentown, Pa.

Dwyer and two relievers combined to throw a three-hitter for Omaha, which beat the Salt Lake Bees in the Pacific Coast League championship series last week. Omaha finished the season with a 77-75 record, including going 7-1 in the postseason.

Omaha's Lane Adams hit a two-out double in the second inning and scored on Manuel Pina's single up the middle, breaking Durham starter Jake Odorizzi's streak of 29.2 scoreless innings, including 15.2 in the postseason. Irving Falu had an RBI single in the sixth inning to put the Storm Chasers ahead 2-0.

Durham's Leslie Anderson hit a solo homer in the eighth inning to score the only run for the International League champions.

Dwyer retired the first 20 batters he faced before allowing a base hit to Tim Beckham with two outs in the seventh inning.

Omaha won its first Triple-A National Championship as a member of the Pacific Coast League, and second Triple-A Championship overall in team history. In 1990, the Omaha Royals defeated the Rochester Red Wings in the Triple-A Classic, 4-1 in the best-of-seven series.
