A 43-year-old Park City man is expected to survive after being shocked Tuesday afternoon at a construction site in Old Town.
Park City dispatchers received a call about the incident on the 200 block of Norfolk Avenue at 12:42 p.m.
Park City Police Capt. Phil Kirk told The Park Record that a crane was unloading a steel beam from a trailer when a cable came too close to a power line, causing the line to arc to the cable and shock the man, who was not identified.
He was taken in an ambulance to a Salt Lake City hospital in critical condition. As of Wednesday morning, he was expected to survive, Kirk said.
