Bagley's cartoon (Opinion, Sept. 19) really tells it like it is. The rich 1 percent, catered to and protected to the limit by Republicans, will throw pennies to the poor and they are to be thankful for what little they get.
People, wake up! The GOP wants nothing more than to have a two-class system: the rich and the poor. Then they can have total control on everything we do and say.
With no middle class, the rich would have control over everything we want or try to say or do and we will be beholden to them. People, wake up.
