Doomed to fail

In a country of abundance, that anyone is hungry — that any Utahn is hungry — is beyond comprehension. What does Congress do about it? House Majority Leader Eric Cantor says the Republicans are simply changing eligibility requirements, which "would result in 1.8 million individuals no longer qualifying for SNAP benefits."

Well, we all know no one in Congress is going hungry! Matter of fact, they and their families likely eat very well because you and I pay their (in many cases, undeserved) wages.

When a country's elected reprentatives, playing their violins on Capitol Hill, refuse to make certain that the most vulnerable citizens have their basic needs met, that country is doomed to failure. Check your history books.
