Waste of time

The Republican-led House passed a short-term spending plan that will lead to a showdown that no one will win.

In an attempt to stop Obamacare, they passed this plan knowing full well that the Senate will modify it with a plan to fund Obamacare and they will have to deal with it and make it work by Oct. 1. Even if the plan were to make it through the Senate, the president will use his power of veto to defeat any such plan.

Obamacare is a law passed by the legislative, executive and judicial branches of the government. Yes, it is filled with questions about costs and how it will work, but it is the law for now.

To waste time, time and again, to eliminate Obamacare is folly. To shut down the government in this effort is simply unacceptable and will be remembered come election day in 2014.
