Allegiant Air and Provo are celebrating that airline's inaugural flight between Provo and Los Angeles International Airport this week by hosting a ticket giveaway and a free "movie in a hangar" on Wednesday evening.

People who arrive at the airport between 5 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. that day dressed in their best black tie, red-carpet attire will be entered into a drawing for a weekend stay for four at the Clarion Hotel Anaheim Resort, including airfare.

All ages will be able to enter the drawing, but the winner must have a guardian age 21 or older to claim the prize and travel.

People are invited to walk the red carpet and feel like a celebrity to watch Monsters Inc. inside Utah Valley University Hangar B, 1185 Mike Jense Circle, at the Provo Airport. The first 100 people to arrive will receive an Allegiant tote bag full of premier movie concessions. Those attending are encouraged to bring blankets, pillows, chairs and snacks.

Allegiant begins twice-a-week flights to Los Angeles from Provo on Thursday. The airline also offers flights from Provo to Phoenix and Oakland.
