To Sen. Lee and the Republican Congress opposing the Affordable Care Act:
Isn't it great that all of you have health care paid for by taxpayers, yet you don't want millions of Americans to have affordable health care? Where is the legislation you've proposed that allows us to have the same health care you have? What is your solution for offering health care to Americans? If it isn't the Affordable Care Act, what is it? Who are you really protecting – the American people or big insurance companies?
My wife and I would both like to retire before we turn 65, but we have pre-existing conditions. Without the Affordable Care Act, no insurer will insure us without charging us an exorbitant amount.
All we hear from you is "No!" Let's come up with a solution to the problem rather than being against everything the "other party" proposes. And in the meantime, while the government is shut down, please do not allow yourselves health care or your large salaries.
