I'd like to know what changed in regards to keeping high-level nuclear waste out of Utah. Previous governors of the state and other politicians have fought hard to keep high-level nuclear waste out, and they have been successful.
Our current governor, Gary Herbert, appears not to have kept the fight going. If a nuclear power plant does get built in Utah, not only will we have high level nuclear waste, we will have a nuclear reactor that creates the waste.
All the time, effort, and expense of our previous governors will be meaningless because Herbert did not keep up the fight. I don't like to single out Herbert, but ultimately he is the one responsible, to us, the citizens of Utah.
