Blessing of the Bikes — Hildegarde's Pantry Food Drive

The Cathedral Church of St. Mark will bless scooters, bicycles, motorcycles, unicycles, tricycles or any "bike" as part of the Pack the Pantry food drive. The Salt Lake City Police Department will set up a bicycle rodeo for children for road safety. The blessing is free, but donations are requested for the food bank.

Interfaith Worship Service

Hope Resurrected Church of Ogden will host an interfaith worship service. A united prayer gathering will take place at the venue at noon. The free four-hour service that follows will include worship teams from a handful of churches whose members will perform in musical tributes.

2013 Gandhi Peace Award

Utah poet and peace activist Emma Lou Thayne will receive the 2013 Gandhi Peace Award at the annual Gandhi Birthday Celebration. Also on the program will be a Muslim call to prayer and remarks by the imam of the Islamic Society of Greater Salt Lake.
