Volunteers help with Salt Lake County's million-trees program

Above and right • Volunteers from Rocky Mountain Power and Tree Inc. join TreeĀ­Utah on Thursday to plant nine large oak trees at Wheeler Farm in Murray. TreeĀ­Utah is helping Salt Lake County reach its goal of planting 1 million trees through the "One Million Trees for One Million People" program. The program's mission is to plant a million trees by 2017, and it is about halfway toward that goal. TreeUtah is a statewide nonprofit organization dedicated to tree planting and education.
