Just when you thought "Duck Dynasty" couldn't possibly get any dumber, it got a kid (temporarily) kicked out of school in Virginia.Well, a t-shirt emblazoned with the face of Uncle Si, his clenched fist and the slogan, 'I will hurt you physically and metaphysically" got a kid sent home to change.According to Virginia TV station WWBT, teachers at Dinwiddie High School told Hunter Spain to remove the shirt because it's threatening. Is that a bit of an overreaction? Sure.Is it understandable? Absolutely. The dumbest part of all of this is that Spain's outraged mother, Edna-Jo Spain, thought that the shirt was appropriate for Hunter to wear to school.(Confession: I once sent my son to school in a shirt I bought him that was covered in drug symbolism. Which I was too dumb to realize until the vice principal pointed it out to my son. The vice principal didn't send my son home, but he told him not to wear the shirt to school again. I agreed.)The Virginia school superintendent told WWBT, "If you are a 'Duck Dynasty' fan, you understand the meaning of the shirt. But if you haven't watched 'Duck Dynasty,' you may question if the shirt implies violence."That's surprisingly reasonable. The dumbest part of all of this is that Edna-Jo Spain allowed her teenage son to be interviewed by WWBT and explain why he decided to go home and change his shirt rather than turn it inside out, an option offered to him by the school."I'm not going to look stupid in front of all of these young ladies in the school," Hunter Spain said. "So I decided to get a different t-shirt."Dude, you wore that shirt to school. You already looked stupid in front of all of those young ladies.
