Police have captured a man suspected of robbing two Salt Lake County banks in less than a week.

Officers from Salt Lake City, Salt Lake County and the FBI arrested the 28-year-old man Friday afternoon near 200 West and 500 North in Salt Lake City. He was taken into custody without incident.

Police say the man held up a Mountain America Credit Union in Millcreek on Thursday afternoon. Surveillance footage from the robbery shows a well-dressed bald man who walked into the bank while acting like he was on his cell phone. Police say he handed the teller a note and demanded money before making his escape.

Investigators also suspect he is responsible for a Sept. 20 robbery at a Deseret Credit Union in Taylorsville.

The man was booked into jail Friday.
