An 11-year-old boy died Sunday morning after he was found accidentally hanging from exercise equipment.

Orion Gunderson had been playing on an indoor swing in the basement of his Eagle Mountain home when he became entangled and could not free himself, according to a Utah County Sheriff's news release. After his younger brother told their father that "something wasn't right," the father found the boy and immediately called 911, the release adds.

Deputies and Unified Fire Authority responders got the call just after 11:30 a.m.

The emergency responders administered CPR and the boy was taken to American Fork Hospital. He was then transferred in a helicopter to Primary Children's Hospital in extremely critical condition and later died, the release adds.

His body was taken to the state medical examiner and detectives are still investigating his death — but they have not found anything suspicious about it.
