One of this fall's least original new series is, ironically, The Originals (Thursday, 8 p.m., CW/Ch. 30).It's a spinoff of "The Vampire Diaries," and if you're not a fan of that show, chances are you won't be interested in this one.The title refers to the original vampire family, who built New Orleans centuries ago. Klaus (Joseph Morgan) - a vampire/werewolf hybrid - returns to the ol' hometown from "Diaries," and quickly comes into contact with Marcel (Charles Michael Davis), his former protégé who's the supernatural boss in town now. There are vampires and werewolves and witches and a plotline lifted straight out of "Angel" - seems Klaus is going to become a father. If we hadn't seen umpteen vampires, werewolves, zombies and witches all over TV and movies in recent years, "The Originals" might seem, well, original. But it's going to have a tough time standing out from the crowd. And a tougher time attracting viewers who aren't already watching "The Vampire Diaries."
