Police on Friday were looking for a gunman who held up a southwest Salt Lake City Maverik store.

The suspect, described as a thin white man in his 20s, about 5-foot-8 and wearing a green jacket and beanie-style hat, entered the store at 700 N. Redwood Road about 3:20 a.m. Friday.

The man, who also may have had a tattoo behind his left ear, pulled a handgun and demanded money from the cash register. The clerk complied and the suspect fled on foot, running northbound.

No one was injured.

Anyone with information is asked to call SLCPD at 801-799-3000.
