The state had 1 in every 285 housing units in some state of foreclosure, RealtyTrac said Tuesday.

Florida showed the highest rate of foreclosure activity in the nation in the third quarter, 1 in every 126 units. Nevada was second with 1 in every 128 units.

For the month of September, Utah was ranked 10th in the nation, with 1 in every 839 units the object of a legal foreclosure notice or activity. That was an increase of 6.45 percent over September of 2012.
