State wildlife officers are offering a reward for information on who may have poached two bull elk in Box Elder County.
Investigators believe the elk were killed on or around Aug. 31 southeast of Kilgore Springs, a few miles north of State Road 30 near Grouse Creek, according to a press release by the state Division of Wildlife Resources. The landowner found the bodies with a small amount of meat and the ivory teeth removed.
"There was a large portion of meat on each elk left to waste," the press release stated.
Anyone with information may call the poaching tipline confidentially at 800-662-3337. Rewards are available.
