Samsung wants more Utah schools and teachers to earn free technology through its national contest.
The personal technology company says it has received very few entries from Utah for its "Solve for Tomorrow Contest" that aims to support the STEM effort science, technology, engineering and math.
This year, 255 state and District of Columbia teacher finalists each will receive two Samsung tablets, while 51 state and District of Columbia winners will each receive a technology package worth $20,000. Fifteen U.S. schools can win technology packages valued at $35,000, while five can win packages worth $140,000, the company said.
