Republicans are losing their base

As a moderate who often voted Republican, I must say that the Republican Party has disintegrated into complete disarray. One could even say that there has been a coup in the Republican Party. The old guard is being played as puppets by the new ideals of the tea party and its junior members Ted Cruz and Mike Lee.

The Republicans who so proudly defend the Constitution are now holding it hostage. Obamacare or the ACA has passed every constitutional challenge. It has been voted on, ratified and passed by the Supreme Court (5-4). It is costly, controversial, and it is the law. Let it sink or swim on its own merits. And, House Republicans, do not pretend that you are standing tall for the little guy or limiting the national debt.

All seven of Bush's debt ceiling hikes, the Bush tax cuts of 2001 and 2003, two wars (costing trillions), TARP and Bush's unfunded and massively socialistic Medicare prescription drug program were all sponsored by Republicans and voted for by Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell and House Minority Leader Eric Cantor along with Speaker John Boehner. Your hypocrisy and arrogance are unbelievable. You are now losing the moderate white male voter along with everyone else.
