Salt Lake City police Sunday were searching for a man who pulled a gun on a store clerk while stealing 90 cans of beer.

Police said a clerk was working about 1:26 a.m. at a store at 776 S. 1300 East when a Hispanic man entered the store and grabbed three 30-packs of beer.

The man then began to walk toward the door to leave when the clerk tried to stop him by blocking the doorway.

The man pulled a gun on the clerk and left the store in a blue-and-white sports car, police said.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic adult, about 5-foot-6 inches tall, wearing a blue-and-white winter coat, black pants, and a bandana across his face.
