A 19-year-old man continued to struggle for his life Monday, one day after he and another man were wounded in a possible gang-related shooting in west Salt Lake City.

Salt Lake City police spokeswoman Robin Heiden said police were still learning details as they continued to search for two suspects believed to have fired into the victims' vehicle at 405 N. Pamela Way (1820 West) about 12:25 a.m. Sunday.

The suspects were reportedly in a boxy, dark green older model SUV, possibly a Subaru.

The four men exchanged words before the men inside the SUV opened fire, shooting the men inside the car — the 19-year-old, who remained in critical condition, and a 20-year-old, who was listed in serious condition.

Gang and homicide detectives continue to investigate, and anyone with information was asked to call Salt Lake City police at 801-799-3000.
