A new season of The Biggest Loser begins (7 p.m., NBC/Ch. 5), and there is a Utahn among the contestants - Hap Holmstead of Pleasant Grove.
Based on an interview I did with him a couple of weeks ago, I like him. He's a great guy. A returned LDS missionary who's devoted to his family. I know that the folks at NBC like him, too. I heard a lot about what a nice guy he is before I interviewed him.
My only concern is that he might be too nice a guy to win a reality/competition show. Although the thing about "The Biggest Loser" is that anyone who loses weight is a winner, regardless of who wins the money.
