Letter: CNBC doesn't understand economic crisis

I've been watching Fox News and CNBC as the journalists discuss the government shutdown, the tea party and the lack of unity in the Republican Party. It has been a little upsetting to see CNBC journalists acting like cheerleaders as their polls tell them Democrats are enjoying a 70 percent approval rating and almost jeering at the House Republicans.

It's too bad they don't recognize the terrible financial condition of the United States. We are following the same path as Greece and Italy and, believe me, that is not a laughing matter. Why aren't these journalists concerned over the looming debt crisis? This is what they should cover.

Come on, folks, get serious and realize that our government cannot continue to spend more than it takes in and we must be willing to sacrifice programs we like and enjoy when we know we can't continue to pay for them.
