A minor earthquake rattled a remote section of northern Utah's Cache County late Thursday morning, but no damage or injuries were reported.

The University of Utah Seismograph Stations reported the temblor registered 3.6 magnitude. The epicenter of the 10:19 a.m. quake was about 7 miles east by southeast of Hyrum.

The quake also was believed to originate about 3 miles deep, but due to its remote location was not reported felt.
