While breast cancer cases in Utah remain below the national rate, the national numbers of younger women aged 25 to 29 who are diagnosed with breast cancer grew 2 percent a year between 1976 and 2009. That, coupled with the federal recommendation for women to wait until their 50s to get regular mammograms, concerns researchers and physicians.

On Monday at 12:15 p.m., Jennifer Napier-Pearce discusses breast cancer research, treatment and best practices with Huntsman Cancer Institute's Dr. Saundra Buys, Dr. Teresa Reading from Intermountain Healthcare and Trib reporter Kirsten Stewart.
