I am so glad to see that some of my GOP neighbors to the south plan for the first time to participate in the selection process of Republican leaders in Utah ("Constituent gets regrets only from Rep. Jason Chaffetz," Forum, Oct. 22).

Too bad that in our pretty good state it is very rare that candidates for Congress and statewide offices ever face a primary election. I suspect that Rep. Chaffetz is not at all worried that any opposition candidate will survive our caucus and convention selection process to force him into a primary election.
