I was so saddened by the vandalism those two men did in Goblin Valley ("Men may face felony charges after toppling Goblin Valley formation," Tribune, Oct. 17). What gave them the right to take something so magnificent and majestic away from us?
I wonder what sort of impression they left on the kids in their Boy Scout troop that it's OK to destroy something that belongs to all of us? Why would we teach our kids such ugliness and destruction? The men involved in this terrible act should be prosecuted the fullest, prison time and large fines.
The one man said he would do it again. So I guess he does not realize what a terrible thing he has done. Their post on Facebook showed grown men being destructive and obviously proud of it,
Goblin Valley has been there for millions of years, and I think that large goblin would have out-lasted these two very ignorant men.
