After getting burned in my pick last week, I'm hesitant to go with the Utes against USC. However, this game, much like the Arizona game, seems ripe for a Utah upset given all the injuries to USC. The Utes have their share of injuries too, with the most concerning being the sprained finger on quarterback Travis Wilson's throwing hand. How much it will affect him is a big question. Wilson has to take better care of the ball and make better decisions than he did against Arizona when he threw two interceptions before leaving the game just before halftime. Even with Wilson struggling against the Wildcats, that contest showed that more than injuries, Utah's mental state plays a bigger role in the outcome of the game. The Utes came out very determined against Stanford and won that game, proving they can hang with the best teams in the conference when they are "on." They didn't have the same fire against the Wildcats and it showed. So which team will come out today? Logic says it would be the determined Utah team, one that badly wants a win to make up for last week's disappointing showing. But I am still going with USC in this game, although with plenty of wavering. I'm just not buying into the Utes again just yet. - Lya Wodraska
