Diwali Festival of Lights

This festival in India is a Thanksgiving and New Year's celebration rolled into one. Lots of food, merriment and a gala fireworks show to celebrate the harvest. Visit www.facebook.com/krishnatemple/events for information.

Day of the Dead Celebration

Una Mano Amiga and the Utah Cultural Celebration Center present the annual Day of the Dead altar display and community gathering, a folk art exhibit and event recognizing this significant and expressive Mexican holiday.

When • Display can been seen Oct. 28-Nov. 3, 9 a.m.-6 p.m.; Day of the Dead Celebration will be Nov. 2, 6-9 p.m.

Rummage Sale

Holy Trinity Lutheran Church will hold two rummage sales and charity food drives for the Utah Food Bank. Furniture, antiques, refrigerators, wall ovens, jewelry, designer clothing and children's clothing will be sold.

The Story of Scripture

Sounds Choir

Life in Stills

The Jewish Arts Festival will feature "Life in Stills," winner of the Israeli Oscar for best documentary film. As part of the JCC's Jewish Arts Festival, there will be a screening the film along with its accompanying photo exhibit. Dancing with the Saint John the Baptist Stars

The Saint John the Baptist Ladies Association, in partnership with DF Dance Studio, will sponsor the "Dancing with the Saint John the Baptist Stars" fundraiser. All proceeds will be donated to provide hope for the injured, shelter for the displaced, care for the afflicted. Tickets will be available through Nov. 3.
