I've got to tell you, I love my Tribune and all creatures on God's earth (with the exception of rodents), but I am up to my eyeballs with the seemingly unending brouhaha over Jerry the horse ("SLC weighs complaints over Jerry the horse," Tribune, Oct. 29).

The world is collapsing around us; people are out of work with disastrous results; children in Utah are going to bed hungry while others are educationally challenged.

May I suggest, people, that instead of attempting to deprive the poor carriage driver of his livelihood, your time might be better spent helping the aforementioned groups? Charlie Brown said it best: "Good grief!"
