Park City •Jack Thomas raised and spent a stunning amount of money during this ski town's mayoral campaign, setting records on both sides of the ledger for a Park City contest.

In a required financial statement submitted to City Hall last week, Thomas reported he raised $53,801 between monetary donations and donated services. He reported spending $36,189.05.

He said his opponent, Park City Councilman Andy Beerman, had better name recognition at the start and launched his campaign earlier than he did. Beerman, meanwhile, raised $27,430.18 between monetary contributions and donated services. Voters choose a mayor on Tuesday.
