From parades to concerts, here is a sampling of events along the Wasatch Front celebrating Veterans Day on Monday, Nov. 11.

Veterans Day Celebration

American Preparatory Academy, a charter school with campuses in Draper, West Valley and Salem, will celebrate Veterans Day with music. The event is open to all veterans. Register by contacting Cathie Adamson at 801-553-8500 or cadamson@apamail.org.

Celebration of Veterans

The SCERA Center for the Arts in Orem will celebrate Veterans Day with a variety show. Performers will include SCERA staff member Shawn Mortensen, The Bluth Sisters, The Osmond Sisters, and SCERA's award-winning high school company, Acting Up as well as others. Veterans Day Parade

This year's annual Veterans Day parade in Ogden will be held on Nov. 9. The parade will begin between 30th and 31st streets on Washington Boulevard, then move north to 25th Street and finally west down 25th Street, where two Ogden Fire Department ladder trucks will display a large American flag.

Veterans Day GI Jive

The Bountiful Elks 2442 will present a Veterans Day GI Jive. Come swing, sway and celebrate. Proceeds benefit the VA Hospital Transportation Systems. Music provided by The Next Faze and Big Easy Entertainment. Cash bar, raffle and door prizes. Dinner will be served 6-8 p.m. USO costumes or attire encouraged. Veterans Day Parade and Program

Taylorsville City and United Veterans Council will host the 2013 Veterans Day Parade and Program on Nov. 11 in Taylorsville. The parade grand marshal is Pearl Harbor Veteran Marion Kesler. Any veterans may walk in the parade. Following the parade, at 12:15 p.m., there will be a program at the Taylorsville Veterans Memorial on the south side of Taylorsville City Hall. The keynote speaker is Congressman Jim Matheson. Visit www.taylorsvilleut.gov for information.

Veterans Day Memorial

Veterans Day Events

The University of Utah will honor 11 Utah veterans, including the second female admiral, at its 16th annual Veterans Day Commemoration Ceremony, Nov. 11, 2013. The tribute includes a panel discussion, a 21-cannon salute, an awards ceremony and a concert. The panel discussion, "Women in Combat Arms," begins at 8:45 a.m. The awards ceremony starts at 11 a.m.

Veterans Day Concert

The Utah National Guard will present the 58th annual Veterans Day Concert featuring the Utah National Guard's 23rd Army Band and the combined Granite School District Choir.

Veterans Victory 5K
