Bowling Green, Ohio • Elizabeth Smart says she admires the strength shown by the three women who were kidnapped and held captive in a Cleveland home for a decade.
Smart was in northwest Ohio on Tuesday at Bowling Green State University. She spoke about how she survived nine months of captivity after being abducted in Utah when she was just 14. Last month, Smart released a book about her experience.
The Courier newspaper in Findlay reports (http://bit.ly/HzGwNG ) that Smart told students that she has not talked with Cleveland women, who escaped their captor in May. She says she won't push herself on them because she knows the value of privacy.
